Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka convenes an all-party meeting on Wednesday on El Niño drought measures, from drinking water to crop planning.

Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka will convene an all-party meeting at the State Secretariat on Wednesday to seek suggestions on tackling drought-like conditions caused by the El Niño phenomenon.

The meeting will focus on drinking water supply, alternative crop planning and ensuring adequate electricity for irrigation, after a weak monsoon left reservoirs facing severe shortages.

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy had sounded an alert on October 15, calling a potential Super El Niño a major disaster, and plans to lead an all-party delegation to Delhi in November to seek central assistance.
