The BJP plans nationwide protests on Monday over the Congress president's remarks about the Prime Minister at a Patna event.

The BJP will hold a nationwide protest on October 26 against Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge's remark about Prime Minister Narendra Modi, made at a Patna event on Sunday.

Kharge's remarks, in which he dragged the Prime Minister's late father into the debate, triggered a sharp reaction from senior BJP leaders.

The protest plans cap a weekend of heated exchanges between the two parties ahead of a busy political week.
