Two unidentified men allegedly sprayed pepper spray into a man's eyes and fled with ₹21 lakh during a cryptocurrency conversion deal in Hyderabad's Nampally area on Monday.

The victim, N. N. Amarendra, 42, a bank loan facilitator from Erragadda, had brought ₹25 lakh in cash to a location called ‘Binance Wallet Office’ in Bazaar Ghat to convert it into cryptocurrency on a request from a Jubilee Hills man.

When Amarendra displayed the cash, two men who introduced themselves as Sumer and Sayyad allegedly attacked him with pepper spray. His companion's intervention during the struggle sent ₹4 lakh scattering on the ground; the duo escaped with the remaining ₹21 lakh.

Nampally police have registered a case. Police have not confirmed whether the location or the accused had any verified connection with the Binance platform.
