India and Switzerland have signed a Migration and Mobility Partnership agreement during Swiss President Guy Parmelin's visit, with Prime Minister Modi holding talks on trade, technology and AI cooperation.

The partnership opens structured pathways for Indian students and professionals in Switzerland while committing both sides to cooperation against irregular migration.

Modi and Parmelin's discussions ranged over trade, technology and artificial intelligence — the three lanes where both governments see the fastest-growing upside.

For India, the agreement adds Switzerland to a growing list of European mobility partnerships that have steadily eased the path for its workers and students abroad.
