Revanth presses Centre for faster nod to Telangana irrigation projects
Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy met Union Jal Shakti Minister C R Patil in Delhi, urging him to press Maharashtra for early approval to build the Tummidihatti Barrage.
He sought an agreement fixing the barrage's full reservoir level at 152 metres, which would let water flow to Ellampalli by gravity.
Revanth also sought environmental clearances for four projects — the Palamuru-Rangareddy and Dindi lift irrigation schemes, Sitarama Sagar and the Gouravelli Reservoir — warning that delays are pushing up construction costs.
