Telangana faces heavy to very heavy rain on October 28 as Cyclone Arnab crosses the Andhra coast, with the IMD issuing a red alert for Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem and Khammam districts. Hyderabad itself is forecast moderate rain, after chilly nights that dipped towards 16 degrees earlier in the week.

An orange alert covers Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Hanumakonda and Suryapet, with heavy to very heavy rain at isolated places.

The system's crossing point has shifted southwards in recent forecasts, moving the heaviest rain towards eastern Telangana on October 28 and 29.
