Ukraine's Starlink back at full power after Musk-White House blame game

Ukraine's Starlink and Starshield satellite systems are back at full speed after more than a week of disruptions that hampered battlefield communications and drone operations, President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Saturday.
The restrictions, first reported on October 14, limited connectivity for equipment travelling faster than roughly 100 mph, disrupting some drone missions and complicating efforts to counter Russia's increasingly fast attack drones.
Ukraine's Defence Ministry said its monitoring systems had recorded stable connections at speeds above 400 kmph. The restoration followed days of conflicting accounts, with both Elon Musk and the White House denying responsibility for the limits.
Musk has said Starshield is owned and controlled by the US government and that any speed or usage limits are decided by the US military, while maintaining that the commercial Starlink service is meant for civilian or defensive use.
