Revanth Reddy inaugurated the Future City Police Commissionerate at Ibrahimpatnam on October 19, giving Hyderabad's expanding southeast corridor its own policing command.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy inaugurated the Future City Police Commissionerate at Ibrahimpatnam in Rangareddy district on October 19, creating a new policing command for Hyderabad's fast-growing southeastern corridor. The ceremony drew elected representatives, senior police officers and officials, with DGP C.V. Anand in attendance.
The commissionerate, created by G.O. Ms. No. 141 of December 2025, covers three law-and-order zones with 22 police stations, four traffic stations and dedicated cybercrime and women's safety units. Newly appointed Commissioner Tarun Joshi has taken charge of the command.
The move follows the model of Cyberabad and Rachakonda, carved out as the city sprawled beyond its old limits. On the same visit, the Chief Minister pressed officials to fast-track works for the Invest Telangana Global Summit 2026, laying the foundation for the National Institute of Urban Management and reviewing the Young India Skills University.
